MEDIUM + PAPER: Acrylic paint on St. Cuthberts Mill, Somerset, 300gsm, 100% acid free, satin white cotton paper.

PAPER SIZE: 70 cm wide X 50 cm tall ( 27.5 inch wide X 20 inch tall )

PAPEL 70 FEATURES: I studied printmaking at college in California. Over the past 15 years I’ve printed about 40 editions using ink. However, this new PAPEL 70 edition is a fun exception. I wanted this edition to have a unique, handmade look to it. I approached the process the same way with the exception that I was spray painting each layer, instead of printing with ink. I hand-cut every stencil that was used for my color separations.

What I value about this edition is that every print is unique and has its own characteristics. Fuzzy overspray, transparency in the layers, and slightly off registration. I'm satisfied by the final visual aesthetic and I’m certain that I'll continue to hand paint for upcoming print releases.
